           What Just Happened in the Market?
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h2&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           You might’ve heard the news:
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
           The Fed just cut interest rates by 0.25%.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
            &amp;#55356;&amp;#57225;
           &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
           So, naturally… mortgage rates must’ve dropped too, right?
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           Not quite.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
            Here’s the truth:
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            That rate cut was 
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
        
            already baked into the market
           &#xD;
      &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
             weeks ago. Lenders and investors had anticipated it — so it didn’t cause mortgage rates to move much.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            In fact, right after the announcement, the 
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
        
            10- and 30-year Treasury yields didn’t improve
           &#xD;
      &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
             — a sign the bond market wasn’t impressed.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Then, this morning’s 
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
        
            initial jobless claims came in better than expected
           &#xD;
      &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
             — and that nudged rates 
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
        
            slightly up.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/ul&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Ugh. We’re so close… yet not quite there.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;h2&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           The Good News: Rates Will Be Coming Down
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h2&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           This is where strategy kicks in. While the day-to-day can feel like a roller coaster, we know one thing:
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Mortgage rates are 
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
        
            on a downward trend.
           &#xD;
